Hospital Setting


Neurologists who owned their own practices received salaries with a median salary range of $132,336 to $208,869 in February 2010, reports Payscale.com. For those employed by general hospitals, the median range was $101,812 to $202,326.


Geography


At a median salary range of $130,000 to $239,228, Florida was the highest-paying area for neurologists as of February 2010, explains Payscale.com. Other high-paying states for neurologists include Texas, Illinois, California and New York.
