Make Your Own Organic Diaper Cream

Have you ever wondered about making your diaper cream, but thought it would just be too hard or too expensive? Well, think again. Here is a recipe to get you started that doesn't take much work or money, and the results will be so rewarding knowing that you are using only fresh, organic ingredients to create a diaper cream for your baby.

Instructions

1. Place the herbs and oil that you are using in a glass jar. Cover the jar tightly with a lid. Place the jar in a warm, sunny spot for two weeks. You can place the jar on a table inside a large picture window.

2. After two weeks, strain the mixture into a double boiler. Pour the mixture into a piece of muslin or cheesecloth and while holding the cloth over the double boiler squeeze tightly to get out all the liquid.

3. Once all the liquid is strained out into the double boiler, warm it over very low heat for about one hour.

4. Let mixture cool completely before handling, then strain this mixture through the cloth back into the double boiler.

5. For every cup of oil add 1/4 cup of beeswax and continue to warm mixture until beeswax melts completely.

6. Once the beeswax has melted check for the desired consistency by placing a tbsp. of the mixture into the freezer for a couple minutes. Add more beeswax if it's too soft. Add more oil if it hardens too much.

7. Once you have the desired consistency you can add the optional ingredients such as Vitamin E oil or lavender.

8. Put the mixture into small jars to store.
