Prepare For Seasickness

prevent boat seasickness.

Whether it's taking a boat trip along a lake or a cruise across the ocean, many people suffer from seasickness. Seasickness can come in the form of dizziness, headaches and vomiting. The best way to get rid of seasickness is to take precautions against it before you embark on your travels. There are a number of different things you can do to help prevent seasickness and they can all be completed in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

1. Visit your local pharmacy and ask for some Bonine pills which will help reduce the feeling of seasickness. Take two of the pills on the night before you are embark on your boat trip. Do not take them before you are about to get on the boat as this will still cause you to be sick.

2. Phone your local doctor and ask for an appointment. Visit your doctor and ask if you can have a prescription for "Scopolamine." This is a patch will help reduce the chances of you getting seasick. Test out the patch a few days before you are to travel to make sure you do not get any reactions from the pad.

3. Eat a light breakfast on the morning before your trip. Eating less food means your stomach will not be busy digesting a lot of food. The more food you eat before you travel, the more likely you will be seasick.

4. Head to the lowest possible position for passengers as soon as you get on to the boat. The higher up you are on the boat the more you will feel the boat sway as it is in motion; this is more likely to cause you to be seasick.

5. Pack an empty plastic bag and water with you before you go on to the boat. No matter how many precautions you take before travel, there is still a chance that you will be seasick. Should this occur will have a bag to be sick in and watch to drink to help control your stomach a bit.
