Apply Rosemary Oil To Natural Hair

Apply Rosemary Oil to Natural Hair

Rosemary oil is something of a powerhouse herb when used on your hair: it may darken gray hair, stimulate growth, condition and fight dandruff. It is a powerful nutrient. Even if you find no noticeable change in your hair length, growth patterns, or dandruff problem, your hair will be visibly softer and shinier after your very first application. Plus, it's easy to apply rosemary oil to your natural hair.

Instructions

1. Pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup rosemary oil into a clean glass bowl. Heat the oil in a microwave for less than 1 minute. Test the temperature of the oil by sticking your pinky finger delicately on the surface. You want the oil to be warm, but not too hot.

2. Dip a cotton ball into the oil and then onto your hair, from roots to ends. Or, instead of using a cotton ball, use your fingertips. If you want to stimulate growth, or eliminate dandruff, concentrate on the roots and scalp. If you're more interested in conditioning your hair, concentrate the application on the ends of your hair.

3. Place a plastic shower cap on your head, when finished, or wrap your head in plastic wrap. Sit under a hood dryer, or wrap hot towels around your head, or turn on a regular blow dryer to infuse heat. The heat allows the oil to penetrate with less difficulty into the cuticle.

4. Leave the oil on for 30 minutes and then wash out. You may need to wash it twice in order to eliminate all the oil.
