Apply Reflexology to the Ears
Reflexology is a system of mapping the reflexes of the entire body onto one particular body part. The ears, hands and feet have reflexology points that can be stimulated to cause beneficial changes in the corresponding area of the body. Reflexology also can be performed purely for relaxation. The following steps will show apply reflexology to the ears.
Instructions
1. Perform the following treatments on each ear two to three times per day for relaxation. It should provide a calming effect and is especially effective when done just before going to bed.
2. Sit comfortably in a quiet location with your back straight. Rub your hands together briskly or run them under warm tap water. Cup a palm over the ear for 15 seconds.
3. Pull the lobe of your ear while stroking with the thumb and first two fingers using gentle pressure. Your thumb should be behind the lobe
4. Turn your hand around when its position becomes awkward so the thumb is now in the front and the two fingers are behind. Continue where you left off and complete the entire ear.
5. Rub the inside surface of your ear with the tips of your index fingers. Start at the opening of the ear and gradually work to the outside edge. Rub the curve and fold of each ear, including the back of the ear.
