Achieve Selfhealing

Many people turn to alternative forms of healing when faced with disease or pain. Self-healing refers to the body's natural ability to heal itself through the orchestration of the immune system and energy pathways in the body. There are many ways to achieve self-healing including meditation, Reiki, Qi Gong, and breath work. Everyone's path to healing is different, but a few steps can be taken to get you started towards self-healing.

Instructions

1. Implement breath work into your daily life. Deep breathing calms the mind and body and eases stress. Just 10 minutes a day of deep and focused breathing can change your health and dramatically reduce stress.

2. Begin meditating daily. There are many types of meditation, from guided meditation to simple breathing exercises. Meditation clears the mind and allows the body to relax and begin healing itself. Many cultures and religions use meditation to connect the physical body to the nonphysical plane of consciousness.

3. Practice Qi Gong to target specific problem areas in the body. Qi Gong is a type of moving meditation that works with the internal energy pathways of the body. The choreographed movements reflect the elements of nature, harness the healing energies of the Universe and have been used by Buddhist cultures for centuries.

4. Meet with a Reiki practitioner to receive a Reiki healing. Reiki is a form of hands-on healing, focusing on the energy centers of the body or chakras. Many find receiving a Reiki healing relaxing and rejuvenating.

5. Look within. You may need to work out issues from your past or even the present. Emotions can manifest in the body as disease or pain and meeting with a counselor or therapist can help you release pain and move towards healing.
