Psychological Issues

Erectile Dysfunction
The Prostate Cancer Foundation states that erectile dysfunction is a common sexual side effects of prostate surgery whether or not nerves and blood vessels were spared. Many men regain function after a few months, while others need treatments for erectile dysfunction.
Infertility
The U.S. National Library of Medicine says that infertility can occur because of the trauma associated with the surgical procedure. Nearby seminal vesicles are also removed along with the prostate that affect fertility.
Premature Ejaculation
One common sexual side effect is premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation occurs when semen is released before a man reaches his climax.
Pain
Many men feel genital pain during sex; this occurs because the penis develops painful curves during erection or due to scars on the inside of the penis.
Retrograde Ejaculation
Retrograde ejaculation is a rare sexual side effect, and is relatively harmless. This condition occurs when semen enters the bladder instead of the urethra, mixes with urine, and exits the body during urination.
