The foot bath detox, or an ionic body cleanse as it's also known, is a system for purifying the body of harmful toxins, waste, parasites and heavy metals using an electrically charged foot bath. Toxins are drawn out of the body through the 4,000 pores on the soles of the feet.
Expelling Toxins
According to reflexology, each foot is a channel the body uses to try and expel waste and heavy metals. The foot bath detox uses electrically charged ions to help the body expel these toxins. The body's cells operate on electrical frequencies. Healthy and unhealthy cells therefore operate on incompatible frequencies making it impossible for the body to expel toxins from the body. By ionizing the water in the foot bath, the ions pass into the body, energizing the body's cells and releasing toxins, oils, acids, fats, heavy metals, cellular debris and other waste accumulated over time.
The Process
To complete the foot bath detox the feet must be submerged in a tub of warm water. A machine such as the Model 5400 Hydro-Stimulation Spa which carries the ions to the water via brass or stainless steel electrodes is set to the correct levels and turned on. Purifying salts can be used in the water such as sea salts to enhance the purification process. Once the machine is turned on, adults should sit back and relax for 35 minutes allowing the detox process to work. The process should be repeated every other day for at least 14 sessions (about 1 month), and the program can then be continued indefinitely if desired. Experts should be consulted about the foot bath detox for children. People with electronic devices such as pacemakers or heavy metal joints should not attempt the foot bath detox.
Releasing Waste
The waste released by the body will be visible in the water being any color from orange, brown to black. Toxins from the body will be released into the water alongside parasites such as pinworms. It is believed nicotine can also be drawn from the joints and tissue of smokers who quit many years earlier. Some of this waste will appear as mucus floating in the water.
