Though the money for the hearing aid must be saved in the HSA before the hearing aid can be purchased, utilizing the HSA to save for the hearing aid will allow a person to purchase a hearing aid sooner because the money is saved on a pre-tax basis.
3. Apply for medical credit with companies such as Medi Credit or Care Credit to pay for the hearing aid. These companies offer lines of credit to be used for medical expenses. It is not uncommon for them to offer a low interest rate for a period of time.
