Use A Pregnancy Pillow

The pregnancy pillow is a great tool to help you sleep comfortably during your pregnancy. The pillow is a just a simple, long pillow that is at least as long as your body. Pregnancy pillows are sometimes curved at the ends. They can be used in many positions to help support your body during sleep to help relieve common pregnancy ailments such as leg cramps and back pain.


Instructions


1. Lay in bed in your normal sleeping position, and experiment with the pregnancy pillow to see how you can use it to better support your body. If you cannot find a comfortable position, try one of the standard sleeping positions below.








2. Position the pregnancy pillow under one side of your body if you like to sleep on your back. By slightly turning your body to the side, you relieve pressure on your uterus and abdominal nerves.


3. Hold the pillow between your knees and hug it with your arms if you are a side-sleeper. This position helps keep your spine aligned to prevent stress on your back.


4. Throw an arm and a leg over the pillow if you like to sleep on your stomach. This allows you to continue using your favorite sleeping position, while making room for your belly.


5. Use your pregnancy pillow when resting on the couch for added support.
