Detox By Putting Feet In Salt Water

Many holistic healers swear by the detoxifying effects of ionic foot baths.

Detoxing the body with salt water through the feet involves a slight electric current that magnetically pulls the toxins from your body. This is known as an ionic foot bath. A fairly controversial remedy due to its inconclusive benefits, many holistic healers hail the ionic foot bath, while scientists attempt to debunk it. Test it out for yourself following a few simple steps using mostly household items for hundreds of dollars less than a dedicated foot spa treatment.

Instructions

1. Attach one end of a wire to the handle of the spoon, and wrap it with electrical tape. Repeat this for the second wire and spoon. Clip an alligator clip to the free end of each wire.

2. Fill each foot basin or large bowl with warm water, enough so that each foot is completely covered, and 1 heaping tablespoon of Epsom salt. Stir the salt in and allow it to dissolve.

3. Connect the free end of the wires to battery terminals with the alligator clips. One connects to positive, the other to negative, and then one spoon is placed in each of the basins. It does not matter which one is positive or negative.

4. Place each foot into one of the electrically charged salt water baths. Allow the feet to soak for 10 minutes once a day, gradually increasing to 30 minutes a day. Upon placing the feet into the salt water, you should notice a change in color of the water as the toxins leave your body.
