Acid reflux, also known as "gastroesophageal reflux disease" occurs when acid from the stomach flows into the esophagus, causing an extreme burning sensation in the chest area. Some of the most common symptoms of acid reflux includes a bitter taste in the mouth, burning sensation in the chest, hoarseness, nausea and belching. Home remedies have been used for years to cure acid reflux and many are known to be effective.


Ginger


Ginger has been used for many medicinal purposes, including acid reflux. To use ginger to cure acid reflux, peel a small piece of the ginger and slowly chew and swallow the juice.


Aloe Vera


Aloe vera is an effective home remedy for acid reflux. You can purchase pure aloe vera juice in a health food store. Aloe vera contains hydrochloric acid, which helps to reduce acid reflux when consumed.


Apple Cider Vinegar


Apple cider vinegar is also an effective home remedy for acid reflux. Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a cup of water and drink it daily.


Molasses


Molasses is rich in iron, magnesium and potassium. Consuming 2 tablespoons of molasses in a cup of water each day is an effective home remedy for acid reflux.


Chamomile Tea


Chamomile tea has been used for centuries by the Egyptians to treat different ailments. Drink a cup of chamomile tea daily to prevent and cure acid reflux.
