EDTA
Ethylenediaminetetraacetic aci is the scientific name for EDTA. EDTA is most known for its ability to bond metals and remove them from the body. It has also been know to help circulation in the heart and is commonly given to heart attack patients.
N-Acetyl Cysteine
While EDTA may be the scene stealer of enhanced oral chelation, N-acetyl cysteine is also an important component. N-acetyl cysteine is a powerful antioxidant and has been touted as an immune booster.
Other Ingredients
Along with those mentioned above, enhanced oral chelation also contains vitamin B12, bromelain, folic acid, trimethylglycine and magnesium. Many of these can be found in other dietary and vitamin supplements and provide little additional protection.
Other Uses
Along with immune and heart health, enhanced oral chelation is also touted to have the ability to revitalize internal organs and restore sexual function, soothe joints, increase circulation, boost memory, reduce extremity pain and increase energy levels.
Considerations
While there is support that EDTA may provide heart health and N-acetyl cysteine can boost the immune systems, research is still ongoing about its other benefits.
