Firmware for your HP computer includes built-in software designed to run the hardware components in your system, such as the BIOS on your HP computer's motherboard. Deploying firmware to a number of HP computers in your business can be done in a variety of ways, depending on the number of computers to be serviced.
Via External Media
Using external media such as a CD-R, DVD-R, or flash drive is the easiest way to deploy firmware to the HP computers in your organization, but the most time-consuming as you will only be able to update one computer at a time. Use this method if you only have a few computers to update.
Via Server
Loading the firmware onto your host server and allowing each computer to download it individually is another possible method, useful if you have a number of computers and sufficient technical expertise to host the files on your network.
Via Internet
Allowing each computer to download their own version of the firmware from HP across the Internet is the final method for deployment. This method is only recommended when all of your employees have a good technical understanding of the process involved, as they will have to perform the update themselves.
