Make Genesa Crystals

Genesa crystals aren’t crystals, but geometrically beautiful spheres. These sacred sculptures gained the name crystal because their patterns reflect natural crystal patterns. These crystals heal body, mind and energies through energy manipulation. You may whisper, breath or charge your genesa crystal with your intent by placing it in a sacred spot in your home or garden. One of the best things about genesa crystals is that you can make them easily at home, in sizes ranging from as small as a quarter to large enough to sit inside.

Instructions

1. Snip your basket weaving strips into four strips about 6 inches long. This makes a genesa crystal large enough to fit in your palm or sit easily on an altar. Label them strips A through D lightly with a pencil.

2. Bend strip A into a circle, overlapping the ends about 1/4 inch. Glue them in place with a drop of white school glue. Hold the seam for several seconds, focusing on your purpose. Slide a paperclip over the seam to hold it while you work.

3. Slip strip B through circle A, bending strip B into a circle around the top of circle A like a chain link. Glue and paperclip circle B as you did circle A.

4. Lower circle B so it touches circle A at the top and bottom. Angle them so they form an X with large spaces at either side and narrow spaces at the top and bottom. Glue the circles together where they touch, securing them with more paperclips.

5. Holding your circles so you can see the X, weave strip C through the narrow spaces. Weave strip C over the top of circle A, under the top of circle B, over the bottom of circle B and under the top of circle A. Glue the ends of strip C together, paperclip them, and glue circle C to A and B where they touch. Paperclip these places also.

6. Turn your circles so you can see where they cross to form a triangle with A as the right side, B as the left and C as the bottom. Weave strip D through the strips around the triangle so it forms a circle. Starting at the bottom left strip, or circle B, weave strip D over circle B, under circle A, over circle C at the right, under circle B at the top, over circle A at the top and under circle C at the left. Glue the ends of strip D together and paperclip it. Glue and paperclip where circle D touches the other circles as well.

7. Allow the glue to dry for at least 24 hours. Carefully remove the paperclips and charge your genesa crystal with intent. Store it in a sunny location with lots of air space around it.
