Acid Reflux known medically as Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is caused by acid from the stomach refluxing upwards into the esophagus. A few symptoms of Acid Reflux include chest pains, heartburn, and difficulty swallowing. If you suffer from Acid Reflux, worry not, there are many ways to reduce and eliminate it all together. 1. Make Diet Changes


Perhaps one of the best ways to cure Acid Reflux is by making diet changes and eliminating foods that cause it all together. A few foods that should be avoided include: Soda, Acidic fruits, Garlic, Alcohol, and Chocolate. Eliminating such foods from your diet will substantially lower the risk of experiencing acid reflux.

2. Antacids


Head down to the store and pick up a bottle of Antacids. If you can try to purchase one that is specially formulated for Acid Reflux and Heartburn. Such antacids are usually taken before or after a meal to combat acid from refluxing up into your esophagus.


3. Tea


Purchase a tea that contains acid reflux combating properties. A few such teas include Licorice Tea, Ginger Tea, and Slippery elm tea. Such teas have been shown to be highly effective in both relieving and preventing acid reflux. You can find these teas at most supermarkets and health food stores in your area.


4. Reduce Stress


Keep in mind that reducing stress will dramatically lessen the effects and occurrence of acid reflux. Stress greatly impacts our internal and digestive health. Reduce stress by taking a break when you feel overwhelmed or consider taking a vacation to unwind.
