Use Juniper Berry Bath







Juniper berries in your bath will allow you to breathe easier.


Juniper berries are strong in scent and possess a variety of benefits when used in a bath. For example, when the steam from a juniper berry bath is inhaled, it eases your tension and promotes the clearing of sinuses. It also aids in drying out oily skin. Knowing prepare and use a juniper berry bath allows you the ability to pamper your senses with a homemade herbal bath concoction.


Instructions


1. Add crushed juniper berries to the jar. Drop in the lavender essential oils. Mix the crushed berry powder thoroughly.


2. Add sea salt to the jar, on top of the crushed berry and essential oil mixture. Add baking soda to the jar as well. Baking soda and salt creates a fizzing bath salt that suspends the crushed berries and oils.


3. Cover the jar with its lid and shake it vigorously. This ensures the berries, salt and baking soda will be thoroughly mixed together.


4. Close your bathroom door and windows -- to keep air from traveling in and out of the room. Turn on your bath, letting only hot water run. Plug the bathtub and let it fill.


5. Add the prepared juniper berry bath to the running hot bathwater. A fizzing action will immediately occur, releasing the scent of the juniper berries and lavender into the steam which fills the room.


6. Turn off the water once the tub is full and sit beside it to inhale the intoxicating and beneficial aroma. Let the water cool for 15 minutes while you inhale the herbal bath. Once the water is cooled to a tolerable temperature, you can soak in the luxurious herbal blend.
