You’ve probably been there before--the morning after a night of heavy drinking, The pounding headache and the nausea can be intense. You vow to never drink again, but soon find yourself out on the town again and downing those alcoholic beverages. But just because you have an occasional over-indulgence of alcohol doesn’t mean you have to pay the price. You can greatly reduce your chance of getting a hangover by following these steps.
Instructions
1. Before you start drinking, take a multivitamin. Drinking depletes your body’s nutrients, so taking a multivitamin will help minimize this problem and will give your body some extra nutrients to battle the incoming alcohol.
2. Eat something while you are drinking. The food will help your body absorb the alcohol. Another benefit is you will more than likely drink less alcohol.
3. Drink slowly. The slower you drink, the more time you will give your body to burn off the alcohol so that less of it will get to your brain and bloodstream.
4. Drink water. Try to sip some water in between sips of alcohol. Drinking alcohol makes you dehydrated. Sipping on water throughout the night will help keep you hydrated.
5. Stick to one type of drink. Drinking a variety of different alcohols is not a good idea. You will more than likely end up drinking way too much and more than likely get very sick. Most alcoholic beverages don’t mix well together!
