Keep Weight Off After Master Cleanse

The master cleanse diet can help a dieter lose a tremendous amount of weight in a short period of time. One of the most difficult times during weight loss is after the diet ends. The success of a diet is determined by the ability to keep the weight off for a substantial period of time after the weight is lost. To avoid yo-yo dieting, it is vital that a plan of action to sustain a weight loss be in place.

Immediately After Master Cleanse

It is important that the dieter take things slowly after the master cleanse diet has ended. Immediately jumping back into a normal eating routine will result in nausea and stomach cramping. Remember that the master cleanse diet requires the dieter to consume no food for a period of 10 days. For the first few days after a master cleanse, it is important that you give your body a chance to become accustomed to food again without nausea, constipation and stomach cramps.

On the first day after the master cleanse, consume only orange juice with maple syrup added. The second day, you can add other juices including vegetable juice and broth. Day three after the master cleanse can include fruits and vegetables only. By day four, you should be able to consume a normal diet.

Eating Normally

Eating normally after a master cleanse should not mean that you go right back to your old eating habits. The master cleanse diet takes the weight off and gives you an opportunity to start a healthy diet and lifestyle that will keep the weight off.

A well-balanced diet that includes a variety of foods will ensure that you get the proper nutrition to keep your body healthy. Plan out your meals for the first few weeks after the master cleanse until you are accustomed to making healthy choices on your own. A well-balanced diet should include protein, carbohydrates, whole grains and fat. Carbohydrates should come from fruits and vegetables and not overly processed foods.

Choose foods that are as close as possible to their natural state to get the best nutritional value from your meals.

Long-Term Weight Management

Long-term weight management after a master cleanse diet requires you to be aware of your weight and the foods you are consuming. Weight can sneak back up on you when you are not paying careful attention to your food choices and the number on the scale.

During the first few weeks after a master cleanse, you may have to plan your meals until you get used to a new healthy well balanced diet. Once a healthy eating plan is well established, it becomes easier to manage your weight.
