You can tune into your body's energy with a few simple steps.
Tuning into your body's energy can help you to focus and concentrate on tasks or goals. It can help you to relax before bed or charge up before a big event. With practice, you can learn to read your body and tune into how it is feeling in as little as 15 minutes.
Instructions
1. Find a quiet space where you can sit comfortably, either in a chair or on the floor. Turn off all distractions, such as lights, cell phones or televisions. Play some soft, calming music in the background if you like.
2. Face the wall and close your eyes. Picture a blank canvas in front of you, either in the color black or the color white.
3. Take a deep breath in, filling your lungs completely. Hold it for a few seconds, and exhale fully. Continue to breathe in and out in this fashion for several minutes, until you start to feel yourself relax. Focus on each breath in and out in order to achieve relaxation, which will help you tune into your body's energy.
4. Think about your arms, legs, feet and other body parts as you breathe in and out. Feel the tingling energy pulsing through them as you continue breathing. Start to think about different colors as you breathe in and out, such as red, blue or yellow.
5. Imagine the energy you feel in your arms, legs, feet and other body parts slowly moving to the ends of your body and flowing out. You can picture in your mind lightening bolts, plus signs or any other symbolic representation for energy you would like. Imagine the energy flowing back into your body and forming a loop while you continue to breathe in and out.
6. Continue picturing the energy flow and breathing in and out until you feel content and in tune with yourself. This can take anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour.
