Instructions
1. Strap on a pair of Allen Iverson's The Answer Reeboks before you cross over. Iverson has lent his name to The Answer mid-top styles, sold through retailers like PickYourShoes.com, since entering the league (see Resources below).
2. Square your shoulders to the basket before you cross over like Allen Iverson. Your nose and belly button should rest on a straight line with the center of the hoop to make the cross over successful.
3. Stand with your dominant leg resting behind your back to facilitate between-the-leg dribbles. Allen Iverson uses his right leg to step forward after completing the cross-over move.
4. Dribble the ball hard from your strong side to your weak side to start the cross over. Iverson shifts the ball from his right hand to his left to get poor defenders to commit to a basic drive. Avoid palming the ball by keeping your hands flat and facing the floor while the ball is dribbled.
5. Continue the cross-over move by bouncing the ball between your legs back to your strong side. Most defenders will try to block your path to the basket once the second dribble is completed, because they assume you will make a basic strong-side move.
