Make Turmeric Cream For The Body

Turmeric, also called Indian saffron, is not only a popular culinary herb in some cuisines, but is an important herb in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicines. It is a flowering shrub related to ginger and grows widely throughout India, Asia and parts of Africa. Turmeric cream has been used for centuries by Hindu women who prize light, glowing skin, especially for special events such as weddings. Chemically, turmeric halts melatonin production and it also contains important antioxidant and antibacterial properties so that it is helpful to the overall health of the skin. Turmeric is a natural sunscreen and that is found in many manufactured beauty products.

Instructions

1. Mix equal parts of turmeric powder and cucumber juice until it makes a smooth paste or cream. If the cream is too dry or too wet to easily apply to the skin, then add a bit more juice or turmeric powder.

2. Apply the turmeric cream to the body. Leave it on for approximately 15 minutes.

3. Rinse off the turmeric cream. Moisturize the skin as usual.
