Side Effects Of Daflon

Daflon is a multivitamin supplement made up of a combination of vitamins and minerals used by individuals to receive nutrients that are not received in their daily diet. Daflon is also used to treat vitamin deficiencies caused by pregnancy, recent illness, digestive disorders and poor nutrition. As is the case with most multivitamin supplements, there are a number of side effects associated with use.

Common Side Effects

Side effects associated with using Daflon include upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, headache, unusual and unpleasant tastes in the mouth, vomiting and loss of appetite. While these are considered the most common side effects associated with using this supplement, they only affect a small amount of users.

Severe Side Effects

Unfortunately, there are also a number of severe side effects associated with using this supplement. Some of these side effects include allergic reaction, difficulty breathing, skin rash, hives, tightening of the chest, difficulty swallowing, and swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue and throat. These side effects are also very rare and do not affect a large amount of users.

Important Safety Information

Never take Daflon in conjunction with any other type of vitamin supplement as overdoses of certain vitamins can lead to severe consequences, including death. More specifically, vitamins D, E, K and A are extremely dangerous in very high doses. Do not take this supplement with milk or any other dairy product as calcium has been known to make it more difficult for the body to absorb key vitamins and minerals.

Use

Always use Daflon exactly as it was prescribed by the doctor and never in dosages larger than what has been recommended on the label. Multivitamin supplements should always be taken with a full glass of water. If administered in a chewable tablet form, chew the tablet fully and swallow before drinking any liquid. Always store this supplement away from sources of moisture, and at room temperature.

Warning

If you experience any of the above side effects, contact your physician immediately.

If an overdose is suspected, contact the poison control center at (800) 222-1222 and head directly to the nearest emergency room.

Daflon is meant for use as a multivitamin supplement and should be used only as a means of supplementing the body with necessary vitamins and minerals. Never use multivitamin supplements recreationally.
